Migrating IDS 10.5 on AIX to IDS 12.2 on Linux X86

Good day fellow Informix users,

I am planning to perform a proof of concept to migrate an IDS 10.5 (AIX 5.3)
installation to an IDs 12.2 Linux x86 (probably SLES 64-bit).

Does anyone in this wonderful Informix universe have any suggested readings
and/or experience that he/she can share with me as I am getting ready to
setup my new test VM and Informix environment. What I am sort of looking
for are any hints (DO’s and DON’Ts) wither specific to the O/S, to the type
of disk space/filesystem to use and/or any other serious setbacks that I
could avoid using someone else’s wisdom who would have done a similar
migration before (whether it be from AIX to Linux or from any other O/S to
Linux).

The database that I am looking at migration has essentially up to 30
dbspaces/extents with approx. 200Gb data within it.
