I'm responding on behalf of Guy Bowerman, who is temporarily disenfranchised...

Hi Jean,

My mail gateway from IIUG doesn't appear to be working at the moment so I
don't know if anyone replied to this.

One unknown here is that you are using a Vista Home edition. We don't
support and hence don't test Vista Home, so it is possible you may be
seeing a problem that is peculiar to Home edition. The error itself
sounds like a TC1 problem with domain installs (see
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/blogs/page/gbowerman?entry=ids_problems_with_windows_domains
) but I'll assume you've not set up domains in a Vista Home environment,
so this might be something else.

Is there any way you can test 11.10.TC2W2 or later, and not use Vista
Home? Also, just to make sure we're not seeing any errors left over from a
previous install, uninstall IDS, or if it's not installed just make sure
you've deleted the informix user if it exists and Informix-Admin group, as
well as HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Informix from the Registry.

Regards
Guy
