Chunghwa Telecom awards multi-million dollar contract to Cobrasonic

Taipei, Taiwan. - July 07, 2006 - Cobrasonic Software, Inc., has been awarded a contract worth US$5.5 million by Chunghwa Telecom Co. Ltd., for providing an IBM Informix Enterprise License and consulting services. Chunghwa Telecom (TAIEX: 2412, NYSE: CHT) is the largest telecom service provider in Taiwan, providing fixed line, mobile, and Internet and data services to over twenty-three million residential and business subscribers in Taiwan.

This contract includes an Enterprise License for IBM Informix DBMS along with technical consultancy services and High Availability products from Cobrasonic. Cobrasonic will provide dedicated consulting services in database planning, database design, data migration, technical support, regression QA support, training, maintenance, and system performance analysis to achieve the maximum business efficiency on all Informix platforms at Chunghwa Telecom. Under this contract, Cobrasonic will also play the role of architect to support Chunghwa Telecom in enhancing its future IT infrastructure with other IBM product lines.
