Andreas,

No real impact. We are simply maintaining the LSN of the update which
caused the update lock within the lock structure. That means we can go=

directly to the log record containing the before image.

Hi,

thats a very interesting feature, but how is the performance impact?
I presume IDS has to lookup the values in the logical logs and they
are not designed for this kind of job?!

Nevertheless this might be very helpful for migrations from
Oracle to Informix.
