Hi Bernard,

Quick test,
Launch the cmd shell that you normally run sql statements in.

hold down the Alt key and in the numeric keypad type 171 (do not use the=20
main keyboard) and release the alt key.
repeat with Alt 172 and Alt 173.

If this displays as 1/2 1/4 and upside-down ! then you font is a OEM font=20
and you should set CLIENT=5FLOCALE to en=5Fus.cp850. and mode con cp=20
select=3D850.

It is possible that neither font supplied by windows for your operating=20
system is going to display cp1252 data correctly.

You can use the same test for the other applications that you use to enter =

and retrieve data to determine the CLIENT=5FLOCALE that you should use for =

that connection to the IDS server.

Let me know if you have further problems.
