That might have something to do with it. Seems weird that it said that it
would get installed, but perhaps that's an oversite.
As for the installation - I like Andrew's idea of installing the 11.70.FC7
first - make sure that you have the CSDK, and then install the patch version
over the top.

Thank you Mike. I am actually trying to install the X5 patch version
11.70.FC7W2X5. I wonder if they might have left the csdk out of the special
build. No esql there either. Yes confirmed that the INFORMIXDIR is set
correctly.
I will reach out to Informix support.
BTW do you know if I can just install the CSDK in the same directory on top
of the Informix server install or is it better to install it at a different
location?
