Karen,

What platform are you on? Is it supporting KAIO?
(take a look at onstat -g iov)

It seems, you need to increase NUMAIOVPS to smth reasonable
(like: number of physical disk drives)

Is there any reason for setting " NOFUZZYCKPT 1"?

If is very useful to take a look at onstat -R before
the checkpoint and at onstat -F
