Thank Art, Jeff and Mark for the info!

We do not do partition/fragmentation.
We are heavily using the following sysmaster tables to monitor space usage
daily,
sysdbspaces
syschunks
sysextents

Seems difficult to avoid using them.

By the way, What does IFX_NOPENPS=4096 mean? Any possible side effect?
