I assume you are referring to the IBM CDC product, but the CDC API and
libraries are included in the engine for free and you can use them to
develop your own data capture and replication or audit applications. Also
DbMoto was certainly less expensive than EGM last time I inquired about
it. It will do one-way or bi-directional replication between almost any
DBMS and any other DBMS using CDC where it's available and triggers where
CDC is not available (the Informix module for earlier releases that did not
include CDC uses triggers).
