Good, one more thing don't forget to run %INFORMIXDIR%\etc\coledbp.sql on
"sysmaster" database from user "informix". This is some of the catalog
information required by Informix OLE DB. Counter part of this file is
doledbp.sql (for deletion).

I guess installer by default didn't register OLEDB DLL. You have to
register OLEDB as follows ..

regsvr32 ifxoledbc.dll

This dll must be located at %INFORMIXDIR%\bin dir.

connect.3.00.FC2DE problems [12998]

I have installed IDS Connect 3.00.FC2DE on one of our Exchange 2007
servers.
It is running Windows 2003 R2 (64-bit) OS. I setup the IDS Connect
software as
I have on other servers & workstations and tested using ILogin Demo and
ODBC
Data Source Admin. Both of these connected.

However when I try to connect to our IDS database using the connector in
powershell I get the following error:

Exception calling "Open" with "0" argument(s): "The 'IFXOLEDBC.2' provider

is
not registered on the local machine."

I'm using the following as the command string $cs =
"Provider=IFXOLEDBC.2;Password=xxxx;User ID=xxxx;Data
Source=xxxx@xxxx;Persist
Security Info=true"

Now all this works on another server and my XP laptop (both 32-bit). How
can I
resolve this problem? It seems to be related to the 64-bit as can get the
same
code to work on 32-bit platform.

IDS 10.00.HC5 on an HPUX(PA-Risk) 11iv2 trying to use Connect 3.00.FC2DE
on a
W2k3 (64-bit) server. Note: the link to download the IDS Connect 3.5
version
was broken on IBM's site. The 3.00 link was only one working that's why
downloaded it.
