RE: Re.replication

For ifo :
Even in IDS 9.40 you cannot rename a chunk while doing a cold restore for a
initial HDR setup.
I've tested it.
On the "omode -d secondary xxx" command you will get a message in the log as
"cannot change mode if renaming chunk"

Yes. Chunk paths and size , as given in the onspaces command got to be
same. In fact you can not give onspaces command on the secondary server.
You give it on the primary server and the secondary server automatically
creates it.
The only luxury you have is to create a link to the path the way
you want it. As long as the path given in onspaces is a valid one,
Informix will not complain. To give an e.g.

On Primary server /ifmx/dbs54 may be a link to /dev/rdsk54 (raw disk)

On secondary server /ifmx/dbs54 may be a link to /usr/informixdata/dbs54
(cooked file).

onspaces -c -d dbspace54 -p /ifmx/dbs54 -o 0 -s 2048000

This will work.
